OpenBlogware adds blog functionality to your Shopware 6 store. Posts can be created and managed directly in the administration under “Content > Blog”, allowing you to complement your shop with editorial content such as news, guides or background articles.
For its storefront presentation, the plugin provides CMS elements for the post listing and individual blog posts. The corresponding CMS layouts are created during installation. To include the blog listing in your shop navigation, assign its listing layout to a Shopware category. The layout used for individual post pages is assigned in the plugin configuration.
The blog listing CMS element lets you set how many posts appear on each page. Pagination allows readers to move between listing pages. You can also customise the URL structure of individual blog posts using a template in Shopware’s SEO settings.
OpenBlogware additionally provides an RSS feed, allowing readers to follow blog posts through a feed reader.
KEY FEATURES AT A GLANCE
IMPORTANT NOTICE
According to the project documentation, OpenBlogware version 5 and above requires Shopware 6.7 or higher. The inspected version 5.3.3 on the main development branch specifically restricts its dependencies to Shopware 6.7.x. Always check the requirements of the plugin version being distributed.
To make the blog listing accessible through the shop navigation, a category must be created or selected and assigned the blog listing layout. The CMS layout for individual post pages must also be assigned in the plugin configuration.
