Actualize: Order Surcharges

Actualize: Order Surcharges automatically adds configurable surcharges to the Shopware 6 shopping cart. The extension provides a general logistics surcharge and an additional fee for cash on delivery payments. Each feature can be enabled independently and configured with a fixed amount.

The logistics surcharge is added when the cart contains at least one regular product. When all products are removed, the plugin automatically clears the surcharges from the cart.

The cash on delivery fee depends on the selected payment method. You can specify the payment method that triggers the fee in the plugin configuration. Without an explicit assignment, the extension identifies cash on delivery through recognised payment method names. Switching to a different payment method automatically removes the cash on delivery fee.

For tax calculation, the plugin uses the tax rates of the products in the cart. When multiple rates are present, the surcharge is split according to each rate’s share of the goods value. If no rate can be determined from the products, the extension falls back to the sales channel context’s tax rules and, finally, the configured default tax rate.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

According to the project documentation, the extension requires Shopware 6.7 or higher and PHP 8.4 or higher.

When a cash on delivery payment method is selected in the configuration, only that payment method triggers the fee. Without an assignment, detection relies on the payment method’s name. “COD” is recognised only as a whole word. Different naming conventions may therefore require explicit selection in the configuration.

The documented surcharges use fixed amounts. Percentage-based fee calculation is not described as a feature.
